Just as we expected the waves were still around 4-5ft and still perfect! The Fang was the spot this afternoon dishing out some more super long barrels, but with a slight change in swell direction saw some even pushing down towards Speedies with some really nice ones flaring up on The Cobra.
Swells on the rise tomorrow and its looking like its gonna last till the weekend when we’ll see a decrease on saturday, then smaller again sunday which will be a great opportunity to rest the limbs!
All is good here in G-land, so stay stoked!!
YEW!

Still Firing! Trades blew all night, woke up to some perfect early morning 5-6ft Moneys with the first bloke hitting it around 8am scoring some screamers by himself for a couple of hours before everyone slowly filtered into the line up after breaky. A little crew hit it after lunch for the high tide with some nice long barrels being had through the Fang and Hoop Throwers.
But as the tide dropped and the sun began to set, The Ledge and Moneys started lighting up with some solid heavy 6fters, nice drops and the odd snapped board! Another epic day and everyone is so stoked!
Tomorrows looking the same, if not better!
Waves forever!!

Sunday, 28th June 2009
Still some really nice waves today. With the swell coming more from the west we saw the line up move more up the reef towards The Ledge and Moneys. Still a nice 4-5ft there was definitely some really nice Fang funnels running through! This has by far been the most surfing i have ever done in my life!
Truthfully, today was perfect. Not big, but just perfect and down the line, i’m so surfed out i found it really hard to hit the water, and i’m not the only one with the crowd factor after lunch no more than ten!!
G-lands still sooo Pumpin!!

Saturday, 27th June 2009
The swell dropped as expected today which really turned out to be a good thing, with the whole G-land line up firing!! From The Ledge to Moneys, through the Fang and Hoop Throwers, some nice ones standing up on the Cobra, with the odd 6ft plus one hitting Launch Pads and running all the way down past Speedies where you’d find most the crew sitting!
But the few that took the time to sit around Moneys or The Fang scored some perfect empty waves! As the day came to a close our regular end of trip pool comp. kicked back into gear after having a few lay days dew to the amount of surfing that’s been goin on lately, with the new local apprentice Fauzi, and Spanish shark Markos taking out the first prize!!

Friday, 26th June 2009
Silence filled the camp this morning as we all woke, not because it was the death of good old whacko Jacko, but the fact there was some solid 6-8ft bombs hitting Launch Pads!! This was a fresh raw swell with a lot of water moving! The waves were hungry gobbling up a good 20 or so boards and snapping about the same amount of leg ropes with 1 guy totally loosing
his board, never to be seen again!
The nerves were in full swing, but the crew from jungle were the first to hit it getting out just as the tide got right and the winds swang!! Speedies turned on with some really nice barrels, especially the ones that linked up from the Pad!
We even seen the odd wide 3-4fter linking up through Quicksilver’s offering some of the longest barrels i’ve seen!! Word has it there was even some fun waves down Tiger Tracks for the crew that found out the front just that little bit to intimidating! Tomorrows looking perfect, G-land has fully been off the hook lately and that’s no bullshit!!
If your not, then you should be !!
Get on it!!

Thursday, 25th June 2009
A big decrease again today, small but still some nice 3-4fters rapping
round Kongs, with a few perfect ones running through Fan Palms and the odd funnel pushing down at Moneys! But with a swell like we have on the horizon, today was a perfect day to rest and prep. the wounds!!
Tomorrows looking all time along with the rest of the week! A very good chance this weeks gonna be the swell of the year!! So yeah, stay turned!!
Its gonna get interesting!!
Yew yew!!

Wednesday, 24th June 2009
Waves dropped considerably as the day went on today. But still the crew willing to wait got rewarded with a few 5fters flaring up on the Cobra and running through Speedies. A lot of people took this smaller day opportunity to rest for the swell ahead, leaving a nice number of 3 sitting on Money Trees for the arvo sunset session!
Still some really fun waves here today, easily a good 4-5ft, but with an 8-10fter on the way and some of the most perfect tides of the year for it, no one really wants to do them self a mistruff! Stay turned for the friday, saturday report i got a feeling its gonna be a cracker !!
Go the blues !!

Tuesday, 23rd June 2009
Another all time day here at G-land, only have acouple of words to say…. Speedies, Speedies and Speedies!! Not big but with the odd 6-8fter hitting the Pad, Speedies ended up dishing up a few 3-4ft funnels! With the trades sneaking in around 10-10.30am it gave the crew plenty of time to rack up
a good percentaged of barrels!
Tubed out, it left the arvo sesh quiet. the crew that ended up giving it a nudge totally scored some quality uncrowded waves on low tide Money’s! Once again only 2-3 guys on the Ledge air dropping into some crackers!!
7th pumpin day in a row, can’t believe it. Junes turning into one of the most frothingest months of the year!!
Get ya funk on!!
By: Linton
Monday, 22 June 2009
Waves are looking epic!! The swell charts for the next 2 weeks are some of the best i’ve ever seen! Back to back swells as far as the eye can see! Its already been 1 week of pumping consistent waves and the crew are nearly surfed out! People are having to pace them selves to 1 good session a day just so they can get the next day in! A prime example of this was this afternoon as a hand full of guys scored some 4-5ft screamers through Money Trees, ”one bloke having a 6 hour session unable to come in because of the lack of people, he couldn’t believe his eyes!”
A few boys hit The Ledge air dropping into some 6ft gerthing double ups and pulling into barrels that reminded me of Pipe, another couple of guys chose to chill on Kongs for a crusier more open face wave! All up it was another all time day!!
Now i’m off to bed!! Catch ya on the Flip side!! Yew! Yew!

Sunday, 21st June 2009,
Once again Money Trees was off the hook, with some grinding 4-6fters! But today with the change of swell seen the odd one hitting the Pad, with a nice sneaky early session out the Cobra and Speedies once again! Tomorrow a little smaller but still looking all time, wave after wave, swell after swell,
G-land has truley been amazing this last week!! A true surfing experiance!!
Get on it!!

Saturday, 20th June 2009
Today a bit smaller but still pumping, and as a new swell started lighting up this afternoon this is turning out to be one of the best Money Tree runs of the season! The last couple of hours of the day seen some cracking 4-5ft waves reeling down the point through the Fang and Hoop Throwers.
The Ledge produced some thumpers on the the low tide, breaking up the crowed a little. But with a lot of people surfed out after the last few days, everyone seems pretty satisfied! defiantly a really good vibe around the three camps at the moment, so many smiles going down, such a good thing to see!!
Stay Pumpt!! YEW!

Friday, 19th June 2009
Early morning G-land, not that heard of but for the few crew on the ball it really paid off with an epic pre breaky Speedies session due to an all night trade blowing, a true sign that the 2009 season is well under way!! But with
the tide dropping, low tide Money Trees was where it was at with some long down the line barrels and some cracking reo sections! An all round crew
rounded off an all time day, there was not one minute of sun light where it looked even a little bit average!
This swells been crazy!! SSoo PUMPING!!
You know it!!
By: Linton
Thursday, 18th June 2009
Not much to say today on the old surf report seen, just that it was ‘PUMPIN’!! Solid 6-8ft Money Trees with the arvo high tide seeing the best of it! The lower tide saw some screemers hitting the Legde! But all in all
another all time day! Full stoked, everyones surfed out and i can hardly type! Doesn’t look like stopping for at least the next week! Lifes good!! Haha!

Wednesday 17th June 2009
Two words!! ”Action Packed”! After waking up to the sounds of a pulsing swell, and seeing it was even bigger than the day before it was time to call the chopper in for an evacuation for poor old Chucky from South Oz
who luckily had insurance and on the day before tore his arm from his shoulder after coming unstuck on a perfect but death fangs section!! Not a life or death situation but unable to move it because of the pain the boat wasn’t really an option with a swell like this one!
With the rise of the tide in the afternoon, Money Trees turned it on again with some really solid 8-10fters, and some guys taking on some even bigger bombs! As the pre lunch crew returned from Tiger Tracks with talk of some really fun waves, it didn’t take long before the crew were straight back down there for the arvo high tide, and for some of the funnest 4-5ft righthand bowls ever surfed!
Bintang in hand and totally surfed out this day was 1 to remember, especially for Chucky who litually had the ride of his life!! Yew!
Over and out!

Monday, 15-16 June 2009
Waves have been pumpin for the last 2 days here in the Land of the G. Yesterday the 15th seen the start of the swell with some really nice 4-5ft
waves hitting moneys and running nicely through the fang, with a couple of sneaky ones pushing by Speedies, only small but with the 2 or 3 guys
sitting on it reaking the rewards!!
Today the 16th, the swell really kicked. Some guys dreding a wash out, heading down to 20/20’s for some easier 2-3fters. But the action was straight out front. Money Trees was PUMPIN’! A solid 8ft with the odd 10fter, one set even pushing a little bigger, seen one of the funnest sessions of the past month or so. Air drops, snapped boards, and some really big barrels! You name it, it was all going down! All smiles and everyones super stoked!! Tomorrows looking just as good!! Yew!!
Keep Frothing!!

Sunday, 14 June 2009
Solid 4ft money trees brought an encouraging vibe across the camp today. Alot of people frothed early hitting it before lunch, while the guys pushing through lunch getting rewarded with some less crowded waves! Moneys was defently the spot with the Fang and Hoop Throwers dishing out some sneaky down the line funnels! It didn’t take long before the crew fed up and hit the arvo sesh, some guys not even taking off there wetties for lunch, then running straight back out! The next week is looking awesome for waves here in G-land. The swell hasn’t even hit and its showing its potential!!!
Stay Tuned!!

Friday 12th June 2009
Beers started early 2day with the first one being cracked way before lunch, and with 1-2fters coming through kongs no one could really blame them! But with this looking like the flattest day for the at least the next 2 weeks and with two russian girls being stranded out here at the camps because they ended up missing there transport back to the village everythings looking promising out here in the jungle! Who knows what tomorrow will bring??
By: LINTON
Thursday 11th June 2009
Early trades, meant early surfing today here at G-Land with the keenest guys hitting it straight after breaky scoring the pick of the day. The push of the tide brought a consistant pulse of 3-4ft 8 wave sets. As the swell slowed at midday on the change of the tide, the low tide pulse started again around 3pm with a few nice ones running through fan palms and with a couple of Russian girls baking and bathing on the point there was planty to talk about amongest the boys whilest the sun and tangs were going down! By far another great day here in the gland…!!
By: LINTON
Wednesday 10th June 2009
With a change of swell direction and a larger swell period, we saw some nice over head waves through kongs, with the arvo low tide producing some of the most perfect waves of the day. A crew of 10-20 across the line up, and sets of 8-10 waves ment plenty of surfing for everyone! Defently one of the nicest days of this week for sure!!

Monday 8th June 2009
You know what they say if its flat in G-land, pretty much the rest of indo is going to be even flatter, and today we woke up to pretty flat conditions! But as the tide started to drop kongs started showing some fun 3fters with only a hand full of guys out over the 3 camps. With only half the camp surfing after lunch the other half took the flat day oppertunity to hike up to the bat cave and explore the rest of the jungle G-Land has to offer, making it back just in time for sunset tangs, and to watch the south oz boys antics nailing each other with be-be guns!!

April 2009 report:
“April was a mixed month for waves in Indonesia. Whilst there was a few solid swells it was not an epic month for most surf destinations throughout Indo in April. Nevertheless offshore trade winds have been constant in G-Land. This combined with the fact that G-Land picks up any swell available in the Indian ocean assured that all visiting surfers were satisfied (if not stoked) with the waves they scored here…
